Guy D’Alessandro’s Artist Bio
Guy D’Alessandro lives with his wife, two daughters and golden retriever in northwestern NJ. He paints wildlife found in North America. Guy learned how to improve his techniques while attending Keystone college, The school of Visual Arts and Montclair University where he received his Master of Fine Arts degree.
Guy paints with oils. Color and light play an important role in all of his paintings. He tries to show nature as he sees it or how he pictures it would be in the wild. His subjects range from birds to bears. Guy’s greatest inspiration and motivation come from spending time outdoors. He tries to convey the beauty he discovers from the creatures he sees and admires through his paintings. He believes in preserving wild places for future generations. He tries to help by donating to the defenders of wildlife and other organizations that help protect those special places.
Guy has been exhibiting his work at shows and galleries since 1997. He has had solo shows in Milford, PA, Hawley, PA, Chatham, NJ, and Lambertville, NJ. His work has been shown at prestigious places such as the Bennington Center for the arts in VT. His work has been selected to appear on The Wildflower Music Festival celebration cover, and his work has been published in Inform Art Magazine. From galleries in NYC to galleries in PA and NJ, Guy enjoys showing his paintings to all.
The Quiet Life Art Gallery in Lambertville, NJ and The Ward-Nasse art gallery in NYC carry original paintings by Guy. When Guy is not painting he can be found outdoors enjoying nature with his family.
